Product Notes: This is a powder consisting of Lactobacillus acidophilus in a dextrose carrier and contains a minimum of 5 billion live cultures per gram of product. Lactobacillus acidophilus is often added along with Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus as a yogurt starter for its probiotic effects, however it is not a suitable culture on its own as a yogurt starter.
