Decorative Pillow - Cotton Knit Tie by Coyuchi
Fine-gauge organic cotton, sweater knit into variegated ribs, creates a pillow that that pleases the fingers as well as the eyes. With organic cotton jersey on the reverse and a tie closure at the side, it lets you change the look of your bed with a flip of the pillow. The removable cover is machine washable, and comes with a kapok insert.
Our cotton is 100% organic, and sourced and woven in India.

If all cotton were grown organically, the use of insecticides worldwide would be reduced 25 percent. We at Coyuchi are working toward this end.

Seeds must be non-genetically engineered.
Insects should be controlled by methods that stimulate what occurs in the natural environment where good bugs eat bad bugs.
Emphasis is placed on keeping plants healthy and therefore, more resistant to infestation.
Chemical fertilizers or inputs, such as herbicides or other pesticides, cannot be used.
Fields are weeded by hand.
Additionally, we only purchase cotton from the Chetna Project, an organization devoted to growing fair-trade, Certified Organic cotton. The Chetna Project empowers and improves the lives of marginalized peasant farmers who cultivate cotton on a small scale, in many ways including allowing farmers to become partners in the business chain, no longer depending on traders.
